As it is said by Vogue Institute (2018), “Clothes reveal a lot about a person’s style – an impression that makes a statement before you’d say a word. It isn’t something you just wear; how comfortable you feel on the inside also elevates confidence, which matters a lot.” As I have been passionate about fashion for a very long time, it made me think about becoming my dream job which is a Fashion Consultant. The fashion industry is a universe that has never ceased to surprise people over time, especially for me; there are always new things to create or else we reinvent styles based on old models. It does also require a lot of patience and precision, but above all we need to have the know-how and love for what we do.

My main objective is to make sure everyone feels as satisfied as possible by choosing to wear anything they want. It is all just a matter of a good combination of items and how they are worn. The goal is to add value in whatever type of style is created. I have adopted a concept that is fashion does not necessarily have to have a specific body type to make their shows or to appear on their advertisements. Since I am involved within the fashion industry, I have never adhered to the fact that anybody who represents a fashion brand should have a slim body. It is unethical because as everyone may see, all around us, there is not only one type of body. The body image that is represented by the fashion industry is very wrong and this habit started since the introduction of the fashion industry. With the introduction of Augmented Reality (AR), people have started to create an image of them that does not necessarily represent them and when they are confronted to the reality, they are very disappointed with what the society would associate them to. Many people are labelled as ‘fake’ or even ‘catfish’ which means an embodiment of a version of someone that does not exist. As per research by Yim and Park (2019), the results have shown that people who have a negative thought about their body have declared to be satisfied with the outcomes of AR on their body rather than Web-Based products presentation.

Within my website, I want to eradicate this trend and I am looking forward to helping anyone of any body type to feel as comfortable as possible in their body. I, myself, has been feeling bad about my body type for a very long time. It is just because of the different advertisements that I came across about the ‘perfect hour-glass body.’ I was very determined to work hard in order to be able to fit that category of body type, but I hopefully could not do it until now because now I have realized that it was never important. It is just a projection of the fashion society about the ‘perfect body.’ Therefore, through my website, I am raising awareness about the body image. I believe that everyone should love themselves however they are and with fashion feel even more gorgeous than ever!
